This page is the English privacy policy used for the Google Play Store listing and the public website. The Windows app has a separate Microsoft Store Privacy Policy, and the Huawei AppGallery policy is available at Huawei AppGallery Privacy Policy.
Overview
Disco Lights Music Visualizer creates colorful screen light effects, strobe modes, smooth color transitions, tiles, gradients, synchronization effects, vibration-style visuals, siren sounds, and music-reactive visualizations. This policy applies to the Disco Lights Music Visualizer app experience and this public website.
Data Accessed or Processed by the App
The app may access microphone input when you choose music-reactive visualization. Audio analysis is performed locally on the device to measure sound level, frequency energy, and beat intensity. The app's visualization workflow does not record microphone audio, save it to files, upload it, or transmit it over the network.
The app may store local preferences on your device, such as selected mode, tempo, selected audio input, selected audio device, flashlight toggle, color choices, brightness, rotation, fullscreen, invisible controls, and audio behavior.
Firebase
The app uses Firebase services from Google. Depending on the app build and enabled Firebase features, Firebase may process app instance identifiers, Firebase installation identifiers, device and app diagnostic information, crash information, performance information, messaging tokens, or similar technical data. This data is used for app functionality, reliability, diagnostics, security, analytics, messaging, and improving the app.
AdMob
The app uses Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and share data such as IP address, user product interactions, diagnostic information, Android advertising ID, app set ID, and other device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Advertising identifiers can be reset or deleted in Android settings where supported.
Data Sharing
Disco Lights Music Visualizer does not sell personal and sensitive user data. Data may be processed by service providers used by the app, including Google Firebase and Google AdMob, only for app functionality, analytics, diagnostics, advertising, fraud prevention, security, and legal compliance.
Manual and Random Modes
You can use Random colors, manual-style controls, Siren, Sync, and other visual modes without microphone-based visualization. If microphone permission is not granted, microphone-driven effects may be unavailable, but non-microphone modes can still be used.
Website Data
The public pages of this website use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Google Analytics to understand page views, visits, traffic sources, device/browser information, and how visitors use the website. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers for measurement. Selected content pages use Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve, personalize, and measure ads, subject to the visitor's consent choices and applicable law. When a visitor enters the Disco Lights VR experience, a server-side notification may be sent to the developer's Telegram channel with basic context such as country, page, device/browser information, mode, screen size, and time. The website does not use Google Fonts.
AI Assistant
If you use the AI assistant on this website, the text of your question and the recent chat context are sent through a Cloudflare Pages Function to Groq, our AI provider, to generate a reply. Successful chat turns are stored in a private Cloudflare D1 database and may also be logged to the developer's Telegram channel. The stored support history includes the site language, country, page, time, question, and assistant reply so the developer can review support history and improve Disco Lights. Do not include passwords, payment details, or other sensitive personal information in the chat.
Security
Personal and sensitive data handled by service providers is transmitted using modern transport security such as HTTPS or TLS where those services transmit data. Microphone audio used for visualization is processed locally by the app workflow and is not uploaded by that workflow.
Retention and Deletion
Local app settings remain on your device until you change app settings, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Data processed by Firebase, AdMob, Google Analytics, Cloudflare, Groq, or Telegram is retained according to those providers' policies and the configuration used by the developer. For deletion or privacy requests related to Disco Lights, including assistant chat history stored in Cloudflare D1, contact dis_lights@proton.me.
